My subject matter is primarily cats, dogs, pigs and chickens. People are totally out of my element, they are a real challenge. That’s why I wanted to get involved in the Portrait Project. It’s very different to create something from a live subject. Plus the history of it has been very interesting – bringing the past into the future. We don’t want to forget the past because we don’t want to make the same mistakes.

Background: Bachelors of Fine Arts and Commercial Art; Associates Degree in Photography, Studied at the Art Institute of Houston. Worked as a corporate layout artist.
